Can I decode or re-encode the stream with SmartMEDIA?
To decrypt streams from a satellite you normally need to apply specialized hardware solutions supporting the installation of CAM modules. In a CAM module, you can insert a card similar to those used in DVB-C/DVB-S servers. There is no such functionality in SmartMEDIA.
Since version 6.0, SmartMEDIA supports transcoding of audio and video streams.
To use this functionality your equipment must meet certain requirements. We currently support Intel CPU-based transcoding with specialized graphics accelerators that support QSV.
