Why SmartMEDIA if there are also X, Y and Z products available on the market, and they are cheaper?
Throughout the existence of SmartMEDIA (over 5 years now) we have been continuously improving this system, getting the maximum out of the hardware it is operating on.
We currently have customers with about 20 Gb/sec server load, and this is far from the limit. SmartMEDIA services over 10 million subscribers in the networks of large Russian, CIS and European operators.
When choosing a system, compare other SmartMEDIA features besides the price with similar products’ features, such as:
- reliability
- support terms
- capability of deploying an operator’s solution
- compatibility of different components - Middleware, client’s devices, quality monitoring system, etc.
The total cost of products combined with the hardware can be much higher. For example, to implement all functions of product X, you will have to purchase more hardware. It will cost you more than deploying a similar system based on SmartMEDIA on a single server.
