SmartLabs: 5 Years on the Market

October 2, 2012 SmartLabs is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

Back in 2007, then a small group of insightful experts in digital TV service market, teamed up to create market-driven innovative solutions tailored for operators and broadcasters.

Within 5 years that elapsed since that day, SmartLabs made a substantial progress: it has acquired many major customers, having implemented many large-scale and innovative projects. This year has been marked by a confident entry into the European market: the company has signed contracts with operators in Spain and Cyprus. The most awesome event for SmartLabs in 2012 was the launch of Rostelecom's project to deploy Interactive TV throughout Russia.

Having started designing set-top boxes in 2010, SmartLabs has now become acknowledged as largest developer of IPTV set-top boxes.

All this would have been impossible without a team of true talents who have managed to create a unique, democratic and creative atmosphere within the company. The company has substantially grown over the years: by now, SmartLabs has opened an office in St. Petersburg, and Moscow-based divisions recently moved to a new, more comfy and creative office environment.

The company is committed to ever-intensive growth, expanding its presence both in the domestic and global market. Now we are actively developing new interfaces, state-of-the-art set-top-boxes, mobile applications, hybrid technology, retail set-top-boxes, and more.
