Baze Technology AS and SmartLabs Announce Partnership
21 April 2015, Oslo, Norway - SmartLabs and Baze Technology AS are delighted to announce their partnership for the development of a state of the art infotainment solutions for maritime and offshore deployments.
Baze’s latest solution, BazePort 6, will be launched at Nor-Shipping 2015 and includes in-cabin equipment from SmartLabs. Baze used the SmartSDK to integrate their market leading solution with set top boxes (STBs) and HDMI sticks from SmartLabs.
Bazeport 6 provides crew and guests with access to live TV and radio channels, content on demand, personal video recording, crew or guest portals, Internet access and desktop functionality whilst offering operators an advanced platform for digital signage.
The in room devices from SmartLabs include the SML-482 and SML-482 HDD STBs and the SML-Stick. Each device has a different form factor and offers a different set of functions and features but they are all derived from the same high performance and widely deployed IPTV platform and are supported by the same SmartSDK. This allows the perfect in-cabin device to be selected to fulfill the installation and functional demands of any deployment.
'In Smartlabs Baze has found a technology partner we believe will strengthen the development of our products going forward. Their impressive track record in the STB industry as well as attractive product suitable to our clients will be an important contribution for Baze' says Baze Technology VP Sales & Business Development, Thorstein Rinker.’
