SmartLabs to launch a OTT solution for MOYO TV

The innovative service will offer preference-based content to users.
September 10, 2015 - SmartLabs has developed and implemented a OTT platform for an unprecedented MOYO TV project.
MOYO's main highlight is that it integrates content from various TV channels and large-scale online services, offering an intelligent recommendation system to create a single content feed based on a user’s viewing habits.
MOYO is an OTT-based product available over the Internet Russia-wide. It is targeted at cord cutters, a new generation of consumers dissatisfied with the current pay-TV offerings.
For each individual subscriber MOYO creates focused and targeted content feed from multiple different sources under a single subscription. MOYO is an unmatched product in the Russian market.
To implement such a unique concept and make the service easy to use and intuitive, SmartLabs provided its native SmartTUBE SDP service delivery platform, several ad-hoc systems, and modern OTT set-top boxes based on SML-482 HD Base with built-in WiFi.SmartLabs developed a unique system of recommendations, content management and editing and the most clear and user-friendly interface.
"The MOYO project was a real challenge for the SmartLabs team. To meet MOYO's innovative product perspective we had to invent utterly new solutions. Once again SmartLabs team demonstrated its unique skills to develop highly sophisticated solutions in tight time frames: it took us less than 6 months to go from interface prototyping to final launch,” SmartLabs CEO Mikhail Grachev says.
